do i need to book in advance?

No, Seats are available on a first come first served basis. Booking reserves your seat on a given trip. All payments are made in person by cash or card.
do prices include lift tickets

No. Prices only include shuttle tickets. Lift tickets are purchased separately, either online or at guest services in the base area.
Why take the stoke shuttle

Taking the Stoke Shuttle skips the 2 hour each way hike to the alpine meadows. If you have a DH bike this is the easiest way to ride 5620 from the top, usually reserved for those on enduro and xc bikes.
